The sun is our planets biggest source of natural energy. What makes it so special is that unlike many other forms of energy, such as coal or oil, it is 100% renewable.
Solar power is a natural source of energy to provide green electricity which powers our homes and heats our water. As the world becomes more aware of the impact our energy consumption has on the planet we are all turning to new, renewable forms of energy.
Solar panels capture and convert sunlight into electricity. These panels can be placed on your roof, on an adjacent building or mounted to frames on the ground to gain the greatest benefit from the northern sun. It doesn’t have to be warm outside for your system to work efficiently as the panels rely on prolonged sunlight, not heat, to generate electricity.
When power is being generated by the solar panels, the inverter converts the DC electricity made by the solar modules into AC electricity, which is used normally in houses or business.
The power not utilised by your property will be fed into grid via a bi-directional meter. Your electricity provider will then meter this excess electricity generated and credit gained will be recorded on your bill.
